MEET RI
My love of photography started in the late 80’s with a giant camcorder and disposable camera. Since then, I have always been taking pictures…
My first inspiration was Ansel Adams. I fell head over heels in love with black and white Photography. Black and white photos eliminate distractions and let the true story be told. I think that is why my color photos have a more matte/muted look because of my love for black and white.
I made my photography business official in 2020. But in the years prior, I donated my Photography to several non-profits and was asked several times to take family photos. I actually really wanted to focus on event photography and more documentary-street-style Photography. I love to be the fly on the wall!
I said I would only do limited portraits to do more events and documentary photos. But I kept getting asked for family and individual portraits, so I said yes and fell in love. My love of documentary photography with my love of humans made me into the portrait photographer that I am today. I am a natural light photographer.
I think in pictures, so I cherish and rely on the dusty boxes of photos to help me connect the dots of my past. I think about others looking back on their pictures every time I photograph you. I get the pure privilege of stopping time, so hopefully, you will remember how you felt and where you were at that time.
I love showing you how gorgeous you are inside and out through my lens!
I strive to connect with you where you are in life so you can look back and remember who you were.
I love getting to know you, even if we have worked together already.
Your story is in you and worth more than you know.
When I am not doing portrait photography, we homeschool, wait for hockey season, are soccer parents, and own and operate our family business, Yellowstone Appliance Repair and Service.
I also live for family time, my animals, coffee, music, gardening, hiking, a fierce voice for human rights, and fly fishing.
